Let's admire the Wildlife

"Look at it's skin. Isn't that magical and beautiful?", said Navpreet as I stood looking with a gaping mouth at her desktop in disgust. It had a wallpaper of a creepy looking Chameleon at full zoom. "This is ugly. Please change it to something actually beautiful." She shrugged and gave me a bewildered look, "Try to appreciate the beauty of nature, Roohi!" as I wondered what kind of species was my friend?

God is a Gamer - Book Review

Image
Rating Plot - 4/5 Language - 3/5 Pace - 4/5 Hype - 3/5 Overall - 4/5 Prelude God is a Gamer is a new page turner thriller novel by Ravi Subramanian. Written by a financial wiz, the book naturally is a financial thriller, one of the very first ones to have the concept of bit-coins as central theme. The story climaxes on the theme of revenge. However has ample amount of twists, turns, suspense, drama & character to keep the reader hooked.

Love Lasts Forever - Book Review

Image
Rating Plot - 3/5 Language - 2/5 Pace - 3.5/5 Hype - 1/5 Overall - 3/5 Prelude 'Love Lasts Forever' is the latest book by author Vikrant Khanna. Two love stories set in different timelines but intertwined through two narrations by their respective protagonist as they fight for their lives, it makes a decent read. Just like many other mushy romantic stuff churning out from the Publishing houses these days, this one too is a simple light stuff meant for the younger generation with its target seemingly Bollywood. But it is not as bad and might delight its reader at many places.

Private India - Book Review

Rating Plot - 2/5 Language - 2/5 Pace - 3.5/5 Hype - 4/5 Overall - 2.5/5 Prelude Private India, latest in the Private series by James Patterson, co-authored with Ashwin Sanghi, is a story set in amchi Mumbai. Though the coming together of names like James Patterson and Ashwin Sanghi would set the expectation of a crisp thriller baked to perfection of style and genre. Sadly, this one falls short. It is apparent that Ashwin wanted to try out something different from his usual mythological thriller genre. This one is a fairly straight...

Movies my choice

Here's a list of some movies that are not blockbusters or very famous but still surprised me with their creativity. So, if you are not finding a good movie to watch this weekend then have a look here. I have provided their IMDB links: INK- (2009) The first time we started this movie, we closed it within 15 minutes of watching thinking it as boring art stuff being a low budget movie. Next time we just went ahead as we had nothing to watch on a weekend and the only thing which was in our mind after it finished was-"Who gets such amazing ideas!"  Sad, it never got released in theaters. Don't go by the ratings, Ink deserves maximum. Genre: Fantasy MOON- (2009) Moon proved that a good movie does not need tankful of money and lavish sets nor a big name actor. The storyline, acting and the direction simply bowl over anyone. No doubt, it inspired the-not-so-good Tom cruise starrer Oblivion.   Genre: Sci-fi, Drama SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WO...
